Check your breasts
Early detection makes a difference. Get to know your breasts so you notice any change – three simple steps are all it takes.

1. Look in the mirror
Stand in front of the mirror, first with your arms down, then with your arms raised. Look for any changes in shape, size, skin or nipples.

2. Feel your breasts while standing
Place one hand behind your head. With your fingers together and using light pressure, move in small circles over the whole breast and up to the armpit. Repeat on the other side.

3. Lie down and feel again
Lie on your back with one hand under your head and check your breast and armpit again. Look for lumps, firm areas or changes in size.
Good to know
Breasts change naturally during the monthly cycle, and most lumps are not cancer. However, if you notice anything new or unusual, contact your doctor.

The 2:2 habit
Two minutes, on the second of every month.
