Denim care guide – a long-term companion
Denim is one of your wardrobe’s truest blue friends. They’re with you through the seasons and on your travels, at parties and at work. Anytime, anywhere. Now, find your favourite denim pieces, care for them and wear them for a long time.
We want to inspire you to take good care of your jeans. When it comes to denim, we recommend washing it as rarely as possible, and instead using other methods to keep it clean and tidy.
Our denim expert, Suzana, will show you a few simple tips on how to wash – and not wash! – your jeans. ‘We want your denim to last longer, and there are a few simple tips on how to achieve this,’ says Suzana.

Wash less
Our general tip, and we can't stress it enough, is to wash your jeans as rarely as possible. In fact, only when you really, really have to.
Air them out
Denim loves air! Hang your jeans outside to air out after each wear and they'll stay fresh longer. Leave them hanging overnight, or even longer.
Freeze your jeans
Yes, it's true! Let your jeans cool down and freshen them up by placing them in the freezer. To keep food fresh, you can put them in a bag.
Spot cleaning
Did your jeans get a stain? No problem! Just focus on washing those spots. Use a mild soap, rub gently and rinse with cold water.
Preparation is care
Before you put your jeans in the washing machine, turn them inside out, empty the pockets and turn down the legs.
Rare washing
Sometimes you just have to wash your jeans, and that's that. Wash at low temperatures and use as little detergent as possible. When you're done, shake the denim well and let it air dry.
Ready for grass-stain season?
Give your jeans a longer life by avoiding the washing machine. Focus on the stain. Rub gently with a mild soap, rinse with cold water and let it air dry.
